Within the framework of the common cultural calendar between Kosovo and Albania, today at 7:00 p.m. at the Ministry of Culture Gallery opens collective/curatorial exhibitions titled “Post-Avangard Eastern”.
Under the curious organisation of the renowned art critic Susan Varvarica Kuka, the authors of this joint exhibition are Adrian Chen, Albana Shoshi and Brikena Brdo.
Through such a label of the exhibition, curator Varvarica-Kuka aims to test “the Albanian artistic world, and not only if the art of the former Eastern Balkans countries, which once belonged to Kosovo and Albania, manages to take an integral stand against the art of Western countries.
Making three prominent artists from Albania co-operate, curator Varvari ca-Kuka also aims to combine and confront recognition and communication, the visual art of Albanian creators from both sides of the Kosovo-Albania administrative border.
Three artists, three forms, three personal threats and paintings are made together at the “exhibition. Post-Avangard East”, which has as a mission to recognise Albanian artists, who tend to keep the development of Albanian culture and society at pace in the XXI century.
Its goal is to combine in recognition and communication the visual culture of artists from Albania with the visual culture of Kosovo artists. The creativity of this exhibition enrichs the language of the creative world of Albanian artists of the system and international history of art.
“Post-avanguards...” brought together three young Albanian artists who apply the gesture of painting on the telajo, bring about the naturality of personal creation, upon which they aspire professionalism and desire, as well as conditioning the known treatments and proven practices of international artists, who emerged from the middle of the 19th century, to our time.
The exhibition will remain open until November 10th, 2019.
