According to Eurostat and INSTAT figures, processed by the Monitor, it turns out that Albanian women and men have the highest percentage of physical inactivity in Europe. 82% of women and 76% of men do no physical activity during a normal week, according to INSTAT. On average, about 80% of the country's population is inactive.

While the European average of women and men who do not engage in physical activity is much lower, 28.6% and 26% respectively, according to Eurostat's reported data, belonging to 2017.

In Europe, the most active are Romanians and Estonians, where only 3.9 and 4.7% of the population do not engage in any physical activity. Next come the Danish, Dutch, Germans, Swedes, Finnishs.

The Balkans are generally noted for their laziness. After Albania, Serbs rank on the list, with 76% of the population performing no physical activity, followed by Macedonians (56%).

To assess the level of aerobic exercise during the usual week, Albanian respondents were asked: In a normal week, do you engage in such activities as walking, cycling, yoga, or other matters that increase your breathing and heart rate? In total, only 12% of women from 15 to 49 reported that they had a 5-7-fold a week absorption form, 4% do 3 or 4 times a week, 3% of them one or 2 times a week, and 82% don't do any kind of aerobic exercise. Among men of the same age group, 11% exercise 5 to 7 times a week, 7% exercise 1 to 4 times a week, and 76% do not do any kind of aerobic exercise. The poll was conducted by Insta, on behalf of the Public Health Institute.

79.6% of women in the city and 84% of those in the village in Albania do not perform any aerobic exercise a week, according to INSTAT.

In men, this percentage is slightly lower, but remains the highest in Europe anyway. 74% of men in urban areas and 78% in rural areas do not exercise any physical activity during the week.

According to age groups, the most active are young people, where 73% of women between the ages of 15 and 19 do not engage in physical activity, versus 85% of the age of 30-34.

Among males, again 15-19 years of age are the most active (even in school exercise), with 63% not engaging, as opposed to the 20-34-year-olds.

According to frequency, from women, the most obsessed are 15-19-year-olds, 16% of whom are 5-7 times a week. While there are 40-44-year-olds, 13.5% of whom do physical activity 5-7 times a week.

According to the cities, the most lazy are the footbilly men, 94.6% of whom don't practice any exercise during the week. The most active are tyrants (61.9%), about 18% of them being exercised 5-7 times a week, the Monitor writes.

Of women, again heads Tirana, which has the lowest percentage of non-active girls and women, with 71.9% of the total (approximately 19% of them exercising 5-7 times a week, the highest in the republic, while with the sloths they're again patient, with 96% of them failing to perform any physical exercise during the week.
