The EU is investing 6m euros in the replacement of existing tubes in order to improve the reliability and quality of heating supplies for existing consumers, as well as expand heating supplies for new customers in Pristina.
EU representative Louis Bruda said it is very important that school students “Naim Frasher” learn in adequate surroundings.
This project is a huge project of 6 million euros and does not include just this school, but many buildings in this area, and with the use of Thermocos we're heating up, but we're also reducing carbon emissions because we're now using the heat that comes from Thermokos, and we're also reducing the use of electricity and coal to help the environment. We are putting 100 new substations out of them 50 are in public buildings and we are extending more than 14 kilometers of the” pipeline, he said.
The chief executive chief of Terkos, Arsim Fetah, said this realisation of the heating centre network would not be possible without the financing of the European Commission and co-finance from the Pristina and Trmokos Commission.
Among these four new consumers that have begun to expand in this part of town, including the Naim Frasherı school we are in, continuing the network expansion will continue in many parts of the city. Of course, to us all consumers are important, but with greater pleasure I have them when we offer conditions for better work in kindergarten and school. So not by chance has this place been chosen to be promoted to the project. Also in the coming year, this project will continue with the keys to the Theatre, the Ministry of Culture, Ulpiana residential facilities, Matti1 and several other” objects, he said.
Hope Shala, director of the DKA in Pristina, said Pristina is already entering the heating system, which affects environmental protection as well.
“Pristina is already entering the heating system, which affects environmental protection that we in Pristina have a problem with. But at the same time, I consider that only the key to the school is Naim Frasheri, which actually warms 900 families through the children here who are members of this school. I'm hoping that in the years that the heat is a priority for schools and gardens because warming through the thermocos is much better and cheaper”.
Lena Qeban, a school student named Naim Frasher, gave an appreciative talk to all who contributed to the project.
“Thank the EU very much, for the investments you're doing in Kosovo schools, the key to our school in the central heating network, which is of particular importance to us. Having a warm and pleasant environment for learning means a lot, we thank all the students of this school, and once we let them know that any assistance offered to schools we consider the most hit” investment, she said.
We remember that central warming goes to 1800 residences and 105 businesses in Ulpiana, Mattie and Calabria.
