The European Parliament document says that refusing to open negotiations could bring stability not only to the two countries, but to the entire region.
Further, “is said to be sorry for the decision to block negotiations for Northern Macedonia and Albania as the role France's president and other countries had in this decision”.
It is also called on the council to assume its responsibility and act on the rules.
The EP resolution, which was formed today, is expected to change Wednesday. The EP does not have legislative powers for decisions on enlargement, but its positions are important, especially at the moment new candidates from France, Hungary and Romania are expected to vote for European Commission President-elect Ursula von der Leyeen's cabinet. /tch
