The summit is being held under Prime Minister Edi Rama's auspices and is organised by the Universal Peace Federation (FPU), as part of an ongoing series of summits around the world supporting interdependence, bilateral prosperity and universal values.
The summit will include the launch in Europe and the Middle East of the International High Council for Peace (KLNP), a global association of current and former heads of states and governments dedicated to dialogue and co-operation for the sake of peace and human development.
Senior heads of state but also of those who have had great influence on important decisions for the Balkans, including current and former heads of state and government, parliamentarians, religious leaders, leading women and civil society leaders, will be engaged in finding solutions to long-term peace and sustainable development in Southeast Europe and beyond.
The Southeast European Peace Summit has brought together world leaders, experiences, wisdom and individual and collective depth -- which, according to organisations -- are necessary if we want to build a world of mutual understanding, lasting peace and prosperity for all.
