The Congressman resigns following charges of love relatives

MP Katie Hill has announced her resignation from the American Congress, following allegations that she had a love connection with an assistant to Capitol Hill.

The Democrat from California, who has denied the claims, said she was withdrawing with a broken <x0-heart”.

“I believe it's the best thing for my electors, my community and our country”, she wrote on Twitter.

The resignation came days after it was put under investigation by the House of Representatives Ethics Committee.
