Clinical Psychological Specialists Respond: SHSKUK is violating competitions

Through this reaction, clinical psychologists say that one of the violations is that the contest requires only basic university schooling in the field of psychology.

Kosovo's University Clinical Hospital Service continues with publishing contests with irregularities for clinical psychologists

The SHSKUK has recently published competition for accepting two clinical psychologists, with jobs at the Psychiatry Clinic. The contest contains violations in the conditions set for recruiting and in the pre-paid wage coefyt. The contest requires only basic university schooling in the field of psychology, presenting insufficient professional training conditions for recruiting higher profiles capable of applying this profession, such as clinical psychology experts. Moreover, the competition sets out depreciated wage cofficients, in relation to other mental - health professionals employed during 2018 at SHSKUK. USKKUK, as the only tescarial institution of health service delivery in the Republic of Kosovo, is under obligation to obtain the most prepared framework for providing health services. Clinical psychologists, educated under the legislation in force, are deprived of dignified and merity application in the announced competition, since their education and professional license are depreciated thanks to the competition. Clinical psychology experts have presented their concerns to competent institutions and are still waiting for the company of concrete merit actions to eliminate this irregularities.

Citizens of the Republic of Kosovo deserve to receive health services from health professionals in the respective field, profiled and licensed according to the criteria that provide the most adaptable and quality service in the country. The legislation in force imposes all relevant health operations to respect the emergency requirements for offering quality health services, thanks to professional preparation and outstanding qualifications in the respective areas. With adequate reactions to the acts in question, and mobilization of the public, Kosovo is able to advance health services in public health, in particular by providing dignified and merity opportunities for the respective profiles in the field of mental health of profiled professionals.
