The Interpol General Assembly is held from October 15th to October 18th in the capital of Chile, Santiago.
Times Ditore sources within the MPJ have indicated that the invitation has been accepted. So far it is known that a five-member team will go from Kosovo. Chile has approved visas for these officials. Deputy Minister Rayhan Vunqi heads the Kosovo team. Also on the team are Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Salaam Shkodra and diplomats Astrit Zemaj, Prondon Sadriu and Ilir Dugolli.
As the year is known, Kosovo's application for admission to this organisation was rejected, as it did not receive sufficient numbers of member states votes.
Serbia had repeated several times that from its old Assembly in Dubai, the circumstances for which Kosovo's admission had been rejected into this organisation had not changed, and that its “accession would politicise this organisation, in turn Kosovo would deliver many political papers and without police criteria”.
According to Serbia's Radio Television, Chile allowed the participation of the Kosovo delegation at the last moment.
