Valmir Elez has clarified that the actual counting of these ballot papers cannot begin during today.
He has said that initially their assessment should be made, which could last at least two days.
“Before the start of counting of ballots at the Counting and Results Centre, there needs to be a review and assessment of the supposed ballot envelopes. The assessment aims to know whether the ballot is sent by a successful registered voter abroad, or has been sent by another person who does not meet this necessary” criteria, Elesi told Kosovas.
He added that once that assessment is made, it will be precisely known what is the number of approved ballots and how many of those refused and that only the approved ballots are counted.
