As stated by the chairman of the Joint Staff Committee, American General Mark Milley, everything has been done with caution and harmony.
The removal of his remains at sea was done properly,” he said, giving no more details.
The media reported earlier that the funeral was done the same way that it did Osama bin Laden's case.
Speaking of the liquidation evidence of the leader of the Islamic State, the American general promised to reveal photos and videos of the operation after their declassification.
He added that special forces in Idlib have arrested two people who are now under the jurisdiction of the United States in a protected facility. Milhouse also said some materials were captured, but refused to provide more details.
The American general also noted that Washington had co-ordinated with the military forces of other countries during the operation.
Earlier, Fox News reported that Al-Baghdad's body was buried in the sea, broadcasts Kosovas Press.
US President Donald Trump announced yesterday that Al-Baghdadi has been liquidated in Syria. Later, a Russian Defence Ministry spokesman, Major General Igor Konasenkov, said Moscow has no reliable information about the US military operation on liquidating the most wanted man in the world.
