All fair votes have been counted, and from this result the Vetevendosje Movement has emerged the winner of the 6 October elections.
The Central Election Commission (KQZ) has counted all fair votes, and the Vetevendosje Movement has emerged as the winner of the 6 October elections, which has managed to get 203 thousand and 5 votes or 25.49 per cent.
The second in these elections has emerged the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK). This political subject in the October 6th snap elections has managed to secure 197 thousand 702 votes, or 24.82 per cent.
On the basis of these results, Vetevendosje and LDK could form the ruling coalition and both could have 61 deputies in the Assembly.
But although the coalition has not yet officially become a coalition between these two parties, the next government will expect enormous challenges.
Milzim Krasniqi, university professor, has told the news.net that the election result of the Vetevendosje Movement and the Democratic League of Kosovo allows government creation without a problem, as he put it, these two parties can form the government without a problem.
The “Coalation between Vetevendosje and the Democratic League of Kosovo I see natural on the basis of messages they gave before the elections when they tried to form a pre-election coalition, as well as these days have managed to manifest mutual preferences. The election result allows them to create the ruling coalition without problems they already believe they have about 61 votes, and with the votes of non-Serb minorities they can form governments without problems. It depends solely on their will and the way they manage the process of the accord”, Krasniqi said of the news.net.
Asked what he expects of this coalition and what are the challenges awaiting the future government, Krasniqi has said that coalition Vetevendosje - LDK will expect hard work.
According to him, the future government will hardly be able to withstand pressures and will likely be forced to resign because of the pressure.
“While what I expect, I honestly expect that it will be a difficult job of the government separately in terms of negotiations that will be “security on the neck of” for this government more than for all the governments up to date because the finalisation of the agreements and finalisation now implies the emotional increase of pressures on the government as much as it will be willing to deal with the pressure, at the moment I cannot assume, but I am convinced that it will not be able to afford the pressure. With the information I have, there are three options on the table. The first is the exchange of territories, the second is the establishment of the autonomy of Serbs in the north, and the third is Kosovo's total isolation, respectively. Each option is worse than the other. So the government will face terribly unfavourable projects. How it will turn out holds for today cannot be said, but the most likely assumption is that it will not succeed. It will be very difficult either to make serious concessions or be forced to resign”, Krasniqi stressed about the news.net.
On the other hand, Behemman Pasharizi political analyst and university professor has told news.net that coalition Vetevendosje - The LDK expects much work, and particularly dialogue with Serbia.
“S first must be expected to become the coalition and it seems like there is will between these two winning political parties to make a coalition, but the first task ahead of them is dialogue will say unlocking the dialogue that can only be done through the tax, if they have the will and courage to do such a thing then this remains to be seen, or the country will continue to remain locked up and isolated, and a less clear situation we will have after meetings that Mr. Greenwell will develop with current Kosovo officials and those in the current come-to-go-go-back, and if they are able to say, they are also told.
According to him, this coalition will focus more on the areas of the country's development, economic development, then the development of the justice system order and law, the fight against corruption.
Paris has also told the news.net that the Vetevendosje Movement should reform and ensure a dignified representation of Kosovo.
“I believe that in the international plan the Democratic League of Kosovo will probably return to those traditional ties to unblock the country, but the Vetevendosje Movement should be reformed in this plan in order to ensure a dignified representation, but also a return of Kosovo's co-operation with the international and first of all, with Kosovo allies”, Pajarizi has declared.
Arben Fetosti, the connoisseur of international and political affairs, has told of news.net, that the Vetevendosje Movement and the Democratic League of Kosovo, despite deep ideological changes, should form the government as soon as Fetos put it, Kosovo should not waste time.
“What matters most currently is a quick deal for the coalition, in order not to waste time and face difficult and pressing challenges for Kosovo's future. A quick agreement of these two subjects, which have deep ideological differences regarding the programme and priorities, would have a positive internal impact by restoring the lost hope, but also the challenges we face such as dialogue and fighting corruption, given their political power. So, a stable government in numbers and a government that has clear determination and vision of symmetry tasks would be a more powerful guarantee to avoid further failures in the process of statehood”, Fethoshi said of the news.net.
According to him, the visits of top international officials themselves shortly after the election ends testify that the final agreement between Kosovo and Serbia is the priority of the United States of America and the European Union.
“The visits of top international officials shortly after the elections show that dialogue or agreement with Serbia is a priority of the US and EU, but that should not eclipse the serious domestic problems the new government has to deal with, said Fetos on news.net.
Fetish has said that seeing the whole situation, the new government must reinforce its partnership with international allies, first that such a thing the two political subjects had promised even during their election campaign.
“What Kosovo needs today is reinforcement of partnership with allies in the foreign plan and commitment of institutions to rule of law as preconditions for justice and development in the internal plan. This has all been promised during the campaign, and this implies the need for serious engagement on both fronts in parallel with”, Fetos said.
It should be stressed that the Vetevendosje Movement and the Democratic League of Kosovo have officially not held a meeting in terms of the possible government coalition.
Despite preliminary results, still no bail votes, mail and votes of persons with special needs have been counted.
Also, during today, the CEC, with the recommendation of the CNR, has made a decision to recount 313 seats.
