Turkish troops and rebels of Syrian allies have launched an operation to remove Kurdish forces from the border area last week, following the withdrawal of US troops.
The Turkish government views Kurdish forces as a terrorist group, writes the BBC, translates Periscopi.
Mr. Erdoan has also said he will meet with US Vice President Mike Pence during Thursday.
On Wednesday, however, he had denied that he would meet with the US delegation consisting of Pence and Pompeii, saying they would meet the respective counterparts from Ankara.
I won't back off. He said, "I'm not meeting them." I'll talk only to Trump. ”
After these comments, the spokeswoman for Mr. Pence said the latter would fly to Turkey anyway.
