Kosovo has held early elections yesterday following former Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj's resignation.
These elections were won by the Vetevendosje Movement with the candidate for prime minister, Albin Kurtin.
In an interview for Top Channel envoy in Pristina Muhamed Veliu, Kurti has talked about the tax on Serbia and dialogue with them.
Muhammad Veliu: Mr. Kurti, along with governance to change Kosovo's economic reality and social issues, you as the next prime minister of Kosovo have the heavy burden to deal with tax issues, as well as the resumption of dialogue with Belgrade, are you willing to remove the tax? How will you act?
Albin Kurti: We don't remove the tax, but we replace it with the principle of reprocitation, so the tax has never been the policy of Vetevendosje. I do not belong to those who say that this water can come from Serbia, and instead of 1 euros it will cost 2, I believe that the criterion of healthy bilateral relations between the state is reprocity.
Serbia does not even accept certificates of goods production, nor registration plates do not accept anything from the Republic of Kosovo, and this is unacceptable. I believe for all of us and undoubtedly for our future governance, in terms of dialogue with Serbia since the first week as prime minister, I will start dialogue with the Kosovo Serbs, dialogue from below, and besides that dialogue for development and integration, not for reconciliation. Sʹme has done anything to the Serb from Gracanica, reconciliation is made when Serbia accepts Kosovo's independence and pays us the damage to war we don't have to agree with Grcanica's Serb.
And the other is, since the first month, I will make contact with Mr. Borrell, the successor of Mogher, who is responsible for EU foreign policy and security, high representative there, and have dialogue on dialogue.
Dialogue with Brussels on dialogue with Serbia, so that it is well prepared with principles like the market and like the market now, but in the first month we will make a balance of 33 agreements signed with Serbia from 2011 to 2017.
The six-year dialogue we do not have very clearly what has been implemented, why not implemented what has not been implemented and what has been the impact and essence of these agreements on the lives of Kosovo citizens. After that, I will create a negotiating team with the opposition, I will lead the negotiating team myself, and I will add demands to Serbia.
Serbia says what your bid is, our offer for Serbia are our demands for Serbia, so the debt it has on us, and I am convinced that the future dialogue will be much more solid and will not be transparent, on the side of the people or behind it. / Pick it up from Top Channel
