December 22nd 2017 remains as one of the most dramatic nights for the Kosovo Assembly, where, with President Hashim Thaci's correction, the abolition of the Special Court was attempted.
The international factor's powerful response prevented this dangerous act, but it turns out that something like this could still happen in 2018.
Nearly all month long, this point was not removed from the title agenda, despite the head of the Parliament, Kadri Veseli, had prompted PDK deputies to withdraw signatures from this dangerous initiative for the country.
So slowly, Kadri Wessel himself began sending messages to former fighters that the Special will be made, so he asked them to prepare for the challenges by confidently expressing that everyone will turn out to be a white page.
In addition to international pressure not to abolish the Special, Kosovo was also faced with constant pressure to vote the demarcation, which for years created confusion in the Kosovo Assembly.
Ramush Haradinaj, as prime minister, was convinced that the agreement would pass, correcting mistakes Hashim Thaci had made when he signed it in Vienna.
But the president has not stood by. He decided to finish what he started.
He reached written agreements with counterpart Filip Vujanovic to correct possible mistakes during border demarcation with Montenegro.
Despite that, however, February passed with many failed attempts to vote the demarcation agreement in the country.
Problems that emerged at the end of the year in Vetevendosje, which began to highlight the first months of 2018, became hope for the ruling coalition.
Donika Kadaj-Bujupi decided not to remain on either side of Albin Kurti or Shpend Ahmeti, which was getting ready along with 12 Parliament deputies to establish a new party.
She went back to her old house, AAK, enabling the coalition to vote for demarcation agreement. But Donika Caday-Buyup's vote wasn't enough. The coalition was in the face of pressure to find another deputy. Adem Hoxha of the Serbian List was the lead in the final night for demarcation. But there were many problems.
March 21st turned tear gas into the Assembly. More than 10 gas canisters were thrown by Vetevendosje, and many MPs ended up in chains for their actions within the Parliament, but the agreement nevertheless managed to get two-thirds of the deputies' votes.
Mars will be remembered for another action.
Kosovo has marked the most serious case in history, expelled without procedures and completely hidden six Turkish citizens wanted as gylenists from Erdogan's power. To investigate the way six Turkish citizens were expelled, the Parliament formed the Investigative Commission at the request of opposition parties.
Those who worked long to clarify these abuses say the commission has achieved the goal for which it was created, while believing the prosecution will have the courage to deal with President Hashim Thaci as well.
When the president saw that the reactions were severe, he made the word ikcoration.
Fed up with this idea of the president, Valley leaders sometimes came to Pristina to seek support from the opposing parties of this president's plan.
To prevent this goal of the president, sometimes opposition parties joined together without success.
There failed all efforts by LDK and Vetevendosje to stop the president through resolutions, as well as to fail power in the lack of consensus and votes, to vote on the negotiating team at the helm with Fatmir Limaj.
The opposition also failed in efforts to overthrow the government, despite the strong statements that this would take place.
The two opposition parties, the VV's LDK, began to view the PSD as power crutches, as it appeared ready to engage in the president's dialogue to cut competencies through the law.
But that is not all. The Parliament's problems were great. Quorum was hardly in most times. But when they managed to make 61 deputies in the power room, they voted heavily, thus making legislation with mostly adopted laws within a year, even though they passed with little or no discussion.
The year 2019 will continue to find Kosovo with heated discussions on dialogue, with full developments about the Special Court.
