Mitrovica, regional hospital “Dr respectively. Sami Hadzibeqiri”, as well as the main Family Medicine Centre in Mitrovica, have been the only ones in Kosovo who haven't possessed a device, highly needed mammmographer for diagnosing breast cancer.
The women of Mitrovica and the region's municipalities, Skenderaj and Vushtrri, have been forced to perform checks in Pristina, the majority at QKUKU, but many soars in the inability to perform services in Pristina have been delayed with diagnosis of this disease and have subsequently found death.
Seeing this alarming situation in the health of the Mitrovica municipality and being convinced that the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kosovo is taking nothing to equip the Mitrovica Regional Hospital with mammograms, as well as from the fact that continued growth of breast tumors, but also of treatment and control problems for women and women of the Mitrovica municipality, the organisation “mundtie”, which is guided by Hasje Tahiri, five years ago, had undertaken an action to collect the means for obtaining mamography.
