Today Vetevendosje Movement Chairman Albin Kurti, and Chairman of the Committee for Electronic and Post Communication, Fatban Bulnjaku, met with Kosovo Telecom Union Chairman Lamhi Balaj, and members of the Headship, Shriku Rescue and Naim Haliti.
At the meeting, according to the media announcement, it talked about the government's decision to launch the privatisation process, the six-month failure to implement the Parliament resolution and the workers' situation.
The government has had neither the interest nor the will to solve the improvised crisis within Telekom. The abusive contract with Z-mobile, mismanagement and brutal exploitation of the company's capacities for purely private interests must be resolved by Kosovo institutions. There should be no compromise. The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development involvement (BERZH) in assessing the company's situation on condition the launch of the privatisation process for Telekom is unacceptable. Government management problems are approaching as if they're a given, unchanged fact. Party management in Telekom did not cause professional employees but segments of the ruling parties. The largely weak governing regions, without integrity, were appointed and voted by the same. The Z-Mobile contract line is being presented as fatal while they have responsibilities and instruments to stop”, thuh et in the memo.
In addition, unionists reported that by 2008, Telekom has paid the government 530m euros in distribution. Strategic investments are not made, abusive contracts are linked, huge expenses are paid, people on lists are employed, while domestic audits are housed by governments. Dozens of abusive contracts have been filed to the prosecution, but there is no response from them. The late Telekom director found this company of economic and strategic importance with 48m euros in treasury, and left it with 200-300 thousand euros and countless debts presented with completion procedures. Unionists added that even today in Telekom there are fine and capable men in their professions, a portion of which from circumstances are choosing to leave the country
Our “Republic does not lack human resources with high professional levels within Kosovo and in exile. In the absence of delay it is rational government location, fairly bold, to get Telekom. On 31 January 2019 at the Pristina Foundation Court, sessions will be held in which they will try to execute the fine that robbed Telekom 30m euros. As the fundamental Court in Pristina on December 18th acquitted young and old responsibilities regarding the “Dandanfon ʹ Z-Mobile”. Organising organised crime that has seized institutions we still need to respond to citizens and workers who have carried the burden to Telekom. We are determined to support Telekom recover with contemporary, not privatisation models. The potential for development is too big to take out of ownership of the public, the citizens of Kosovo”, concludes no discussion. /
