Trump seeks compromise to build the wall with Mexico

US President Donald Trump has demonstrated new plans regarding the construction of the wall at the US-Mexican border, in an effort to end the government's partial closure. One of his compromises was for the so-called “Dreamers” people who were illegally introduced to the U.S. when they were children.
“Dreamers” are currently protected from deportation through a program that allows them to work but not even to obtain citizenship. This Trump program had tried to cancel.
But, he said he would extend protection for “Dremers” for another three years, allowing them continued access to work permits.
Trump still requires $5.7 billion to finance the construction of the wall.
The Democrats have refused funding and had refused possible compromises prior to Trump's speech.
