“Tonight we are marching in honour of Oliver Ivanovic, who thought with his head and who fought until the end of his life for peace and co-existence between Serbs and Albanians in Kosovo and Metohija”, Serbian actor Bane Trifunovic said at the start of the protest.
Party leader Freedom, Democracy, Justice was killed a year ago in Mitrovica, which was becoming increasingly vocal with criticism of the Belgrade government.
During the march, protesters lit their mobile phones and candles in memory of Ivanovic.
