Kosovo President Hashim Thaci, based on the Law on Dekortem Giving, for heroically fallen police at the head of office and on the protection of citizens, Izet Demaj, has shared Kosovo's “Hero command”.
Kosovo's “Hero order” is given to those who have done acts of bravery and sacrifice, as well as who have witnessed activity or acts of civil courage at wartime or peace.
The decision, certificates and order “Hero of Kosovo” will be handed over to the Demaj family.
Police officer Izet Demaj was shot dead during a robbery that occurred in late December in Istog.
