While teachers and medical staff are on strike at the request for salary growth, such growth is estimated not possible, as Kosovo's budget does not meet the strikers' demands. Meanwhile, in the United Education, Science and Culture Union (SBASHK), the strike will continue until the implementation of their demands for a 30 per cent wage co-fficiency increase. And the surgeons' strike at the University Centre of Kosovo has also been attached to orthopedics at KKUK and doctors at Ferizaj Hospital

Public Administration Commission member Xhevahire Izmaku has told “Zerin” that in the next week this Commission will meet to review the wage bill with which teachers are not pleased. According to her, procedures for adopting this bill will last at least a month.

“Tex after Mondayday the Commission must meet and work. After Monday, when sessions are scheduled, parliamentary groups are co-ordinated until the vote. It's a very big job to do. I think it takes at least another month to work only proceduralally”, she stated.

Izmaku has said that there has not yet been a decision to raise wages for teachers. “For medical personnel has a decision and there is an increase, for education still has not come a decision”, she added.
