The decision was issued a day after Kosovo failed to become an INTERPOL member, as a result of an aggressive Serbian campaign. In the interview given “Cohe Ditore”, Beqaj has said the tax is not in state service, nor will it save power. According to him, the tax decision -- until the new decision -- will soon turn like boomerang towards the state. He's been talking about two effects “countering” of the tax. According to Beqaj, it has turned the international community against Kosovo; and has raised the people's support for the Haradinaj government, “from those who pay the bread 10 cents more expensive than before the tax is imposed, while because of the chelegisation of smuggling ♫Plasma quexon cheaper than before”.
While commenting on Haradinaj's easing and the possibility of suspending the move to give the opportunity to reach the deal, Beqaj has said that it is no shame to publicly admit that the decision making of Kosovo's political leadership begins and ends at the American Embassy.
