Sylejman Selimi released from prison

The news was confirmed by prison director Nehat Thaci
Sylejman Selimi will be released today and will be under the supervision of the Kosovo Sprovatory Service by 30.10. 2020.
General Sylejman Selimi had been arrested in May 2013 and was convicted of a war crimes criminal offence against the civilian population by the Constitutional Court in Mitrovica on May 27, 2015, serving six years in prison.
While, on June 7, 2018, the retrial for “Drenica 2” was held on June 11th for “Drenica 1”. To that end, his lawyer, Tome Gashi, had said days earlier that without any legal rights, Sylejman Selimi has been held in prison for three months now.
