The union called yesterday for a strike at Scheenefeld and Tegel airports, saying management “has triggered a” strike by offering a salary increase of only two per cent over the past two years.
The strike started this morning at 5:00 local time and lasted four hours. The strikers' demands are an increase of 20 euros per hour, which in some cases will be a 30 per cent increase.
The next round of negotiations between unions and management is scheduled for January 23rd.
