From next week, former Kosovo Liberation Army superiors (UÇK) are expected to travel to The Hague, which have been invited by the Special Court.
Former Commander General Sylejman Selimi, former commander of the Lyp Operative Zone Mustafa “Remi” and that of Drenica Operative Zone Sami Lushtaku will be the first to leave for Special Headquarters.
But officials of the latter have stated to the newspaper “Voice” that if their guests refuse to testify, the same will be imprisoned.
By law, if summoned by the Court, he or she may be imprisoned. Prisoning lasts as the witness refuses to testify either until his testimony becomes unnecessary, or until the conclusion of the criminal procedure, but must not pass a month”, Christopher Bennett, spokesman of the Specialised Chambers, said.
