New Special Invitations Expected

Yesterday, the interview of former Chief of Military Police at the Lap Operative Zone, Nazif Mehmeti, by Special Court prosecutors in Pristina, ended. Mehmet's lawyer has made known to “Zrin” that his client was interviewed in the quality of the suspect on the other side of Rhesa Hoxha, by the Group for Jury and Political Studies, [...]
On the other hand, Rhesa Hoxha, from the Group for Jury and Political Studies, for “Zerin”, has said he expects the Specialised Prosecutor's Office will soon send additional invitations for interviewing former KLA members, which should be made public.
With the case of sending the first invitations by the Special Court and with the first interviews conducted so far, the Specialised Prosecutor's Office has already been functional, which warns it will send additional invitations. Regarding the content of the developed interviews, it is understandable that they remain unpublic at this stage of the procedure. This affects the development of a fair and legal procedure”, she has said.
Hoxha estimates it is vital to know the quality in which people from the Prosecutor's Office are invited. The quality they are invited to, the “, should be made public because their representation is covered by Kosovo taxpayers' money. In this way transparency and accounting of public money” would increase, she said.
As for the interview, Hoxha points out that special interviewees should clarify whether they have been invited for more than one occasion and in more than one quality, in order not to create uncertainty in Kosovo citizens.
