Following the Council's decision of the Faculty of Math-natural Sciences for boycotting instruction in summer semester, students address the chief Prime Minister with open letter to ask for them to solve the problem.

The two main requirements are building the facility of the Faculty of Mathematical-Natural Sciences, as well as restoring educational direction at the faculty, Kosovo passes.

Open letter to Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj and Chief Parliamentary Kadri Wessel:

Honored Prime Minister Haradinaj,

Dear Prime Minister Wessel,

Let me, on behalf of FHN students, openly write to you about our main concerns, and with which the quality of our studies is closely linked.

These already concrete and articulating concerns through demands, petitions and all other democratic forms, including protests, are:

  1. Building of the Faculty of Mathematical-Natural Sciences and
  2. Returning educational directions to our faculty.

In advance, I want to let you know that we ask that your decision-making power will set our requests in motion.

We, students and professors of the Faculty of Math-Natural Sciences, conduct our educational (teoric and laboratory) activity in the spaces of a building that does not even meet the minimum conditions. Not only in terms of surfaces but also in the physical state of educational halls and processing labs. Of all the reports on accreditation assessment one of the experts' key recommendations has been the OBJECTI IGURTION to functioning under normal FSHMAN conditions. Especially should the Department of Biology and Chemistry be mentioned, where laboratory activities are conducted in medieval conditions in areas where the health of students and educators is threatened. All this is evidenced by reports of the AVUK Inspectorate. But it is noteworthy that other departments such as Physics, Geography, and Mathematics are not in a position to be in what they should be when the academic world handles daily changes. I don't want to stop by the fact that in existing educational and research labs in FSHMN, not only do advanced equipment and learning-experimental and scientific research not only lack the basics of experimenting with students.

We interact and divide spaces into the faculty of Philology, where 60% belong to this faculty, while the rest belongs to the FSHMN, which mainly included the basements of the facility. In these spaces investment is not possible because of their irrevocable state. Since there are great difficulties in providing IMPROVIZ labs, the lecture halls, then libraries to us are existing.

Despite all of this, thanks to the self - sacrificing work and maximum enthusiasm, FSHMF students are reaching peak results in all areas of research. The figures for stock exchange students, both locally and abroad, talk about mobileities in various programs, as well as presentations on various scientific tributaries.

Where do we get all this energy and motivation to achieve all this success in these conditions and working environments?

Moreover, if all that was said above were not enough, to the surprise of all of us, the government of the country also puts other barriers before us through acts of norm, with which almost the only source of employment was extinguished.

Thus, in 2012 The Ministry of Science and Technology makes the decision No.191/01B, dt. 16. 07. 2012. Under this decision, all programmes that future teachers prepare must complete the master at the Education Faculty.

The FSHMN Student Council has been going on and on and on and on, aggravating the demand for the return of educational directions to FSHMN. Initially, this job has been handed over to the leaders of the UP and the faculty. According to our information, the leaders of the UP have not taken the slightest step in this direction, while those of the FSHMN, despite the fact that they have implemented the verdict as a whole, they have rejected it on institutional grounds.

We as students, seeing the STAT's sluggishness of action and wages for finding a solution for FSHMN graduates, as well as the Pristina Community for the purpose of the object, have been forced to take concrete actions to protect our interests.

For years all student attempts and calls are completely ignored. Therefore, the FSHMF Council's decision to boycott the summer semester is due to the indifference of state organs. This decision, it does not favour students or academic staff at all, but it is our last democratic tool, to achieve the fulfillment of our demands that are nothing but legitimate.

To make sense of this, we extend an open invitation to visit you to the Faculty of Mathematical Sciences, so that you can witness the reality that now tens of years are caught in the basements of this facility.

Florian Bivolaku ) First Vice President of the USSK General Assembly.
