Already for the third time, the Government of Kosovo has started trying to save Kosovo Telekom through privatisation. This effort for Economic Development Minister Valdrin Luka is seen as the only and best solution.

Luka for Kosova Preiss says that only this form of government can remain operational and could be avoided the subsidy that could be made of this company by the state. He also says privatisation would present a longer-term solution to Telekom workers as well.

The head of economic development made it known that there are four companies that have expressed interest in privatising Telekom, as he says, two of them have been written, the company “Orang” from France and Austria “A1”. While, for two other companies, it says it is investment funds, it “Ruckaway” from the Czech State and ultimately “Allitrely One” from the US.

Despite that, the minister says to come to privatisation must be invested. As for Telekom's immediate value, it is still unknown.

As for the overcrowding of workers in Telekom, Minister Luka says a literal analysis should be made to offer bidders. As he says, workers should not leave their jobs.

Great support for the privatisation of Kosovo Telecom has also come from the American Economic Oda. The director of this Ode, Arian Zeka, says the best possible solution is to switch from state ownership to private.

All of this, according to him, should happen because it will be the possibility of greater investment because the government has no capacity to invest and be in step with competitors.

While, from the opposition party, the Vetevendosje Movement speaks against this privatisation. They say they've always opposed this and this step of government calls it their next failure.

MP from this party's ranks Sali Zyba says it is dangerous the way the government is trying to privatise Telekom. He considers all their steps will be failed.

He had a request to the government to observe the resolution issued by the assembly last year, as Zyba says Zyba is offering solutions to Kosovo Telecom.

Kosovo's telecom has been operating with huge losses for several years, due exactly to poor management. Over the years, however, his privatisation has twice failed.
