The first executive today said Kosovo is interested in suspending the tax only if there is readiness from Serbia to recognise Kosovo's independence.
Those comments Haradinaj made after visiting the “company. M-Technologist”, while stressing that this year most of the time will be devoted to the economy.
No, there's nothing of this nature. We have entered several new dimensions in politics in Kosovo that means this year most of the time we will devote to the economy. Kosovo-Serbia economic relations are important, sometimes they have to be regulated, but political relations should be denied, so without a Kosovo political agreement- Serbia is hardly able to keep other relations in order. We are open, so we are interested in suspending the tax if there is readiness to fix Kosovo-Serbia political relations, which also means recognising Kosovo so”, he added.
The American Embassy in Kosovo today through a communique for the media has again called for the 100% tax to be withdrawn, as in their opinion the move is contrary to US interests.
