Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree decorating Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq at the order "Aleksander Nevskyı, writes Sputnik.
According to Serbian media broadcasting reports on Russian media, this order is given to Vuciqi with the motivation that he contributed to the development of reports between Russia and Serbia.
Thus, Vuciq will become one of the rare Serbian figures to receive this award from Russia, after Alexander Karadjordjevic and Nikola Paspi.
The “Alexander Nevskyı award is one of the highest decorations of the Russian state. Nevsky served as Prince of Novograd between 1239-40, as the Great Prince of Kiev later and as the Great Prince of Vladimir between 1252 and 63 years.
