Russia's President Vladimir Putin and Russia's President Recep Tayip Erdogan will meet in Moscow on Wednesday.
Turkey has announced that the meeting will focus on Ankara's proposal for the creation of a <x0 security framework” in Syria.
A communique issued prior to the meeting, on the part of the Kremlin, says presidents Putin and Erdogan “will discuss Syria”.
Russia and Turkey are on opposite sides of the conflict in Syria.
Russia supports the government of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, while Turkey is on the side of the opposition fighters which oppose the al-Assad government.
But Russia and Turkey have agreed to coordinate operations in the field after US President Donald Trump announced he will withdraw American troops from Syria.
