UP's professors with staggering salaries join the strike of educators fighting for the cofficiency

Pristina University “has taken the decision to join the strike called by the United Education, Science and Culture Union (SBASHK).

The UP's says this unanimous stance has emerged after the meeting held today at the University of Pristina reactor, attended by the University's senior management, academic entity deans and representatives from the SBASK.

At this meeting, deans announced that as a result of the strike, all academic units of the University of Pristina have been completely suspended. The situation created has caused great dissatisfaction with parties within and outside the university, which require the execution of their demands, in particular of emergencyly addressed requests”, the UP report said.

The “Hoping that in a short time term the right solution for the created situation will be reached, the UPP appeals to the parties involved to enable the exit of this blockade and to follow through with the prosperity of the teaching and administrative process in educational institutions”, noted in the UP communiqué. /Periscopi
