He was stabbed during a major charity event, while standing on a scene in front of thousands of citizens.
After the incident, Mayor Adamowicz was taken to the hospital. Today it has been confirmed that he could not survive severe injuries.
The Police Department has reported that a suspect was arrested after the incident.
