PDK starts selecting branch heads

The Democratic Party of Kosovo, has held the election assembly at the Kacannik branch this afternoon, following the successful closure of elections in 24 subsurgeons of this municipality, where over 2 thousand PDK activists participated.

In the event for head of the branch, Besim Ilazi and Azem Guri ran, while after counting the votes of 157 delegates, Besim Ilazi was confirmed chairman of the PDK branch in Kacanik, until he received full support for co-operation even from his candidate, Azem Guri.

Subheader PDK, Bajrush Xhemajli, told delegates that elections in the Democratic Party are again testifying the most secure political address of Kosovo citizens.

Xhemajli said the political platform, the New Decade, conceived by President Kadri Veselini, will empower and develop the Republic of Kosovo on the safe path towards integration into the European Union and NATO.

Following the election of the PDK branch chairman in Kacanik, participating delegates also elected the 45 members of the branch chairmanial council, as well as 14 delegates for the party's central convention.

The Democratic Party of Kosovo, so far, has held elections in its approximately 300 underseas, while by the end of the election process, elections in 900 sub-degs will also be held to complete elections with the party's central convention, where the chairman, the Steering Council and the central chairmanship will be elected.
