Paul Lekay again before trial for misusing duty

At the Gjakova Foundation Court, the second review hearing is being held against Pal Lekait and others, after the Court of Appeals' ruling on this case, KTV reports.

Lekaj's lawyer, Arian Koci, has asked the court to reject even the remaining charge of abuse of office. Such a request, Koci has reasoned with the content of financial expertise, which he claims has found there is no evidence that Lekaj has ordered any person to act contrary to the law, in behalf of himself or another person.

The session is continuing with the words of other accused's defenders, Ismet Isufi, Pask Syla, Bekim Sylaj, Teuta Mejzini, Dafina Thaci and Veli Hajdaraga.

The Special Prosecutor's Act relates to the period that Lekaj was head of the Gjakova municipality, during which time it is claimed that illegal subsidies have been distributed. /Time/
