The head of the Serbian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Irinej, has served today at the St Sava Church in Belgrade on Orthodox Christmas Day.
Attending the ceremony were Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic, Serbian Parliament Speaker Vladimir Markinovic, descendants of Karadjurgevqi and other figures, writes B92, broadcast Periscopi.
After the liturgy in St. Sava, a similar message has been sent to all Orthodox churches today.
The Son of God's creation is one of the most important moments in history, it is a moment that gives absolute meaning to the way Christians live and the way they observe the world” is said in the religious message.
But further, in his letter, Irinej has written about the difficult position of Serbs in Kosovo, saying even basic rights of people in Kosovo are being violated.
“Lir for Kosovo Serbs and for all those whose life is impossible in Kosovo brand”, Irinej has said.
In his letter, Irinej has ordered all people of the former Yugoslavia region to forgive because it is only in this way that they are freed from the Slav and the interests of daily politics. /Periscope.
