Pacolli urges Haradinaj to surrender: We cannot refuse US tax request

Kosovo cannot refuse US demand, Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Behgjet Pacolli has said, commenting on Washington's demands that taxes be lifted on goods from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In an interview for Kosovo public television, Pacolli has said he will talk with Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj about the possibility of a positive response to the US.

Speaking of Kosovo diplomacy, the minister has expressed regret that his work has been difficult because of the lack of unity by state officials, Koha.net broadcasts.

He has acknowledged that different positions of the president and prime minister regarding dialogue with Serbia create uncertainty. In his words, in dialogue with Serbia, Kosovo can make several compromises, which, according to him, “will occur within the demarcation with Serbia”.

Pacolli hopes the opposition in Kosovo will join the dialogue team. /Periscopi
