Prime Minister Kadri Wessel has officially demanded that his salary be reduced.
He has sent a letter to the Commission for Public Administration, Local Governance, and Media through which he asks that, under the review of the Law on Salaries, the chairman of the Assembly's salary be dropped to 9.
The chief of the Public Administration Ministry's proposal-proposal payment conefent is 11, but Wessel is seeking to shrink.
According to Wessel, this requirement is an important step in the framework of general public administration reform, salary levels, and the accommodation of meeting the requirements of different sectors in order to preserve budget stability.
My request, I believe, is in accordance with the country's real socioeconomic situation”, further said in the letter of the Speaker of the Parliament and the PDK.
The reduction of the Parliament's chairman's salary also means reducing the salaries of MPs, since any reduction in the cofficiency has a chain effect. /Periscopi
