In northern Mitrovica, for the next Saturday, February 2nd, protests have been warned to take place with the motto “One of the 5 million”, which, according to organisers, aims to show that residents of this city and those left in other parts of Kosovo, will solidify with the people and demands of the rest of Serbia who are already protesting for weeks now.
The protest will start by the Car Lazar statue and end up at the site where Oliver Ivanov was shot dead, reports FoNet, Coha.net. And citizens will light candles.
The head of the Civic Initiative “Serbia, Democracy, Justice Oliver Ivanoviq”, Marko Jaksic, in his Twitter and Facebook profiles has announced that the protest will definitely be held, even with two or three people.
This city once shed light far away. This town could do better. These people may have deserved better, we can do this together”, Jaksic wrote. /Periscopi
