Public debate and crisis areas during 2018 continued to be focused on the country's north.

Northern Mitrovica, Leposaviqi, Zubin Potoku and Zvecan, throughout the year, were areas where the crisis was provoked, while municipalities were constantly used to peel down political accounts mainly between Hashim Thaci and Aleksandar Vucinqi.

The two presidents, who in Brussels shake hands in negotiations, in the north repeatedly provoked the move with their messages and actions.

Vuciq, throughout the year, found his functioning in the crisis area easier.

One of the most influential people in this area, opposition leader Oliver Ivanovic, was killed, thus allowing Serbian politicians to operate in the area without a political and influential opposition such as Ivanovic, KTV reported.

Ivanovic's murder began to dawn recently, while claims of policy links to his murder are strong.

The second man of the Serbian List -- Vuciq-backed party, Milan Radojqik -- has been declared on the run by the prosecution as a person allegedly involved in the murder.

Radojciq, believed to be sheltering in Serbia, is unattainable because the Serbian government has refused to extradite him to Kosovo.

But the bridge is one of many other problems that citizens of this area have.

The country's north, the crisis area, where smuggling, killings and bombings are daily, continued to be used for political messages that constantly produced crises.

With much fuss and no institutional permission, Marko Djuric stormed north in (month) to give a motivating speech to Serbs

Djuric's arrest did not go unnoticed for political and public spectacles.

The Serbian politician arrested by the Special Unit was brought to Pristina, where, in an unprecedented public presentation until then, she was dragged by police.

The images, which were unusual for police, were applauded in Pristina, while the immediate countereffect was launching a panic in Presevo, Medvedja and Bujanovac from the Serbian government.

Aleksandar Vucinqi's warning to visit Wyman again positioned police cars near the north.

Behgjet Pacolli went out publicly and said Vuciqi would not be allowed to visit Weiman Lake.

But Pacolli surrendered to Vucinqi's many insistences. A few hours before the visit, the Serbian president was allowed circulation and delivering messages to Kosovo as part of Serbia.

To balance Vuciqi and protest of one of his biggest political opponents, Albin Kurti, Hashim Thaci, decided at one morning to undertake his northern operation.

In the boat, Thaci sailed to Weyman with a message that this lake is Kosovo's.

The northern exploitation of political messages and voting gains tolerated what continue to be problematic in this area.

Crime, corruption, and smuggling continued to be the focus of attention in this area.

This integration of the justice system in the north is seen as step forward towards creating greater security in this fragile part of the country.

The plates were not even changed this year, while the area continued to remain without support from institutions, and especially discriminated against were Albanian residents who remained, on occasion, without water and drink.

And the north will continue to be the main topic in 2019.

It will be discussed and spoken of. The destruction of criminal groups will be the task of tracking organs, while improving life and returning the area to normality, duty for politics.
