(7 years ago)Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Kujtim Gashi, has today met the theatre-making working group with which he discussed the course of the process, the content that the law will have, and how it will affect improving the functioning of theatres in Kosovo's cities and the advancement of life [...]
Minister Gashi has offered full support to the working group in drafting the law. The minister said he expects from the group an intensive task in preparing a law that will functional city theatres.
“Communities are allowed to divide the necessary tools for their theatres, as well as to engage city actors in these theatres”, the minister said.
“This law empowers theatres in the cities of the Republic of Kosovo, as well as will have a greater commitment of city actors through these cultural institutions”, the minister praised.
The minister considered that 2019 would be the year of the big theatre twist, institutions which have not had treatment and dignity from Kosovo municipalities.
Meanwhile, the processing group indicated they will draft a law that will be a applicable policy and that will affect the growth of cultural activities and the establishment of real values.
