The president of the Republic of Albania, Ilir Meta, has clarified everything about the still non-desiring of some new cabinet ministers updated “Rama 2” and the reasons for Ditmir Busat's failure to fire from the post of foreign affairs minister.
The head of state says he has decreed without hesitation all names of the new cabinet coming from the policy field, as they were deputies in Albania's Parliament, but cannot have the same reluctance for the new names that have been proposed for ministers by Prime Minister Edi Rama, and who were no longer deputy. President Meta said he has sought information from the relevant institutions for the integrity of these persons, among whom is the highly controversial new minister, Genc Cakaj from Kosovo, who currently holds the post of deputy foreign minister and intends to take Bushat's place. The president said the decrees would be signed within constitutional terms, once the answers are addressed with information from institutions.
These positions were expressed by the head of state from the town of Kavaja in response to media interest, within the framework of the initiative undertaken along with “Aleance for Blood Violence”.
Question: Mr. President, the Constitution gives you an important role as a point of reference to foreign policy. Is that part of a re-enactment of the Republic's role in the country's foreign policy?
President Meta: I am meeting all the constitutional obligations the president of the Republic has in this case. As you have noted, all proposals are immediately confirmed, coming from politics, from the Parliament, as representatives who have passed through certain filters in the past in terms of their public integrity. For all new names or new figures promoted for ministers, proposed as such is becoming a normal task, with many responsibilities for verifying their integrity in order to respect the minister's institution as a very important constitutional institution. ”
Question: “The constitution says: The minister embodys the deputy's qualities. The proposed candidate for foreign minister, how do you get by now?
President Meta: “Brent deadlines and as soon as possible, not waiting for the last hours. But that will depend on the answer to the institutions we're addressing. We'll do all the final and public actions, with maximum transparency. ”
