German Chancellor Angela Merkel said she regrets the outcome of the vote in the British Parliament and that there is still time for negotiations between the European Union and Britain to leave the European family.
Merkel told reporters in Berlin that everything will be done to find a solution, but she also said they were ready if this did not come up.
“Ende has time to negotiate, but we are waiting to see what the British Prime Minister's proposals --” said.
After the British Parliament last night rejected Prime Minister Theresa May's proposal for Brex, a vote on lack of confidence in the government is scheduled for today.
Opposition leader Jeremy Corbin called for a no-confidence vote in the government.
432 MPs voted against the Brex plan, and the deal was 202.
