Lutfi Haziri goes against LDK, signals it will become part of dialogue

LDK Deputy Chairman Lutfi Haziri has said the process of dialogue can be carried out and successful without the LDK.

Haziri, has estimated that the ruling coalition has failed to realise citizens' expectations.

He has said PAN partners have only managed to divide Kosovo politically and ethnically, and, according to him, this is the main danger in 2019.

There's not much we can talk about getting to in 2018 since expectations have been bigger. The expectations have been that this end Kosovo will have a date recommendation for visa liberalisation, but this has not been achieved. Dialogue with Serbia is one of the most important processes Kosovo is going through, but unity has not been achieved for this process. On the contrary, during 2018 Kosovo is politically divided into parties that govern and in opposition parties. That's not a good sign. We can't talk about the level of economic development, the fight against crime and corruption, the social situation and the unemployment rate, as well as other segments that leave to be desired. PAN partners have only managed to divide Kosovo politically and ethnically. This is the main threat in 2019”.

Haziri has declared that the opposition cannot be attributed to responsibility for government.

He said about “The new age” that LDK has supported important processes, but cannot become the PAN's crutch.

In no way can opposition be attributed to responsibility for governance. The LDK and the opposition could be attributed to the role of how active they were in implementing opposition demands, in forcing and delaying the process forward. We have given our vote for demarcation, for visa liberalisation we have lobbied in the European People's Partys where we are members, we have given the vote for the Kosovo Army as a process which creates opportunities that the KSF within these ten years has full formations with clear mandates and doctrine. The LDK has voted all laws that are part of European integration, as well as all financial agreements. However, the LDK cannot become the PAN's crutch. This report must be forgotten”

Haziri has suggested that no important process will be conducted without the LDK in Kosovo.

“Without the LDK the process of dialogue can be carried out and successful. We have friendly reports with the U.S. Government, so the LDK has special relations with the United States. Our communication with the American Embassy and through it with other government levels is extremely good. We've made our role clear. The LDK is a party to dialogue. The core and political philosophy of the LDK is solving dialogue problems and with our weapons no one can defeat us. International partners know this LDK mentality, and we have made it clear that these governing institutions have no legitimacy to close up serious processes, as is normalising relations with Serbia. They don't have citizen legitimacy. We cannot give you votes because they are either won or achieved by political compromises. The LDK has citizens' votes and legitimacy, but they are not making any efforts to compromise with the LDK. They're going to keep going, but one day they're going to stop on the street”, he said. /Periscopi
