Members of the Kosovo Security Force from the ranks of minority communities, mainly those Serbs, but also Bosniaks, continue to be pressured by Serbia's authorities because of their involvement in this force.
Even last year and last year, cases have been recorded in which KSF members, who have crossed the border between Kosovo and Serbia, have been banned and questioned by Serbian organs.
Defence Ministry officials told Free Europe Radio that this pressure is ongoing, citing such conduct of Serbian authorities as unacceptable.
Ibrahim Shala, spokesman for the Ministry of Defence, said Serbia is continuing to pressure members of minority communities who are part of the KSF and are not allowing, especially Serbian citizens, to determine their jobs and lives.
“Unfortunately, they must admit that Serbia's position has not changed at all compared to KSF members. It's the same attitude. She, every time she gets on her trail, questions KSF members and pressures them because of their presence and activity at KSF”, Shala said.
Last week, two members of the Kosovo Security Force from the ranks of the Bosniak community had been detained by Serbian authorities at the border crossing with Serbia in Jarina, where they were questioned, had been detained for an information conversation, respectively.
