The year 2019 found Kosovo without a budget. MPs from the Kosovo Parliament dragged down this year's draft budget bill until December of the year we left behind. At the end of the year, they barely approved the bill in principle without the votes of the two largest opposition parties -- the Democratic League of Kosovo and Vetevendosje Movement
Opposition stands for the 2019 budget have remained the same as last year. Opposition MPs, those of the Democratic League of Kosovo and the Vetevendosje Movement, have not wavered at all from their positions in terms of boycotting the Budget Bill.
Meanwhile, representatives of the ruling parties are convinced that the budget will be passed on to second reading in January of this year.
The Kosovo Parliament's MP from the ranks of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Safete Hadragjaj, in a statement given to the newspaper “Zeri” has indicated that all requests that have come from municipalities, central-level institutions and MPs in terms of this year's budget have been reviewed.
