The education workers' strike will continue until the demand is met, starting with the establishment of 30% of cofficients throughout the education system, so expressed today for “Ineksonline”, SBASK chairman Nundman Jashari.
The first SBASK has stressed that the duration of the strike is not up to teachers, but to decisions expected to be made in relation to them.
“Greva will continue until our demand regarding salaries and the timing of the strike is realised does not depend on us, but on the concrete actions of Kosovo institutions. Our request is known that the displaced 30% be established in the entire educational system, starting in the centres, elementary and high school teachers and all employed at Kosovo universities” is expressed.
As part of the strike has also taken place in universities, Jashari has stressed that even exams will be postponed.
According to him, the university's leading bodies will also report on delays, not allowing students to lose their deadline due to the strike.
<x) So the governing bodies know the situation inside the university and they'll definitely postpone it because without a job being done, it may also be considered a violation of the strike, but at the university students won't lose the law of exams, but from within the institutions the deadlines will definitely be delayed” Jashar told Indexline.
He is not informed about some professors in universities who are holding their speeches and consultations normally.
“In the entire educational system around 90% are SBASK members, and the decision is accurate and concrete, primary and middle education and all institutions, and there are schools that have not already been members of the strike. Except that they're on strike, they're also active members of the SBASK but otherwise I'm going to get information from the University's Grevist Council and then, once the strike is done, we're going to see if there are any such cases we're going to have to check”.
And those who lose most at the time of the strike are students and students who have not attended classes for three days now.
If institutions act as soon as possible, Jashari has stressed that in co-ordination with August, the decision to replace hours can be made. But if the decision is delayed to be taken, the SBASK Steering Council may decide that the hours will not be replaced at all.
Kosovo's “Institutions since the month May we have announced and tried to resolve issues, they should know that when there is no lesson in the strike. They have to act as fast as possible so as to have fewer days of strike, based on the results we sit down and we look for the lost time if we can keep up with our demands, the Steering Council will make the decision not to compensate at all” has ended the chairman of SBASK, Nundman Jashar.
We recall that the strike in education has rejected the Kosovo Council of Students, who through a reaction have said it is violating their right to education.
