The prime minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, has been hosting the Admiral James Foggo III, commander of the Allied Joint Forces in Naples and KFOR commander in Kosovo, Major General Laurenzo Déddario, with whom he has talked about the current security situation in Kosovo and the region.
Prime Minister Haradinaj has announced Admiral Foggo's current political and security developments in Kosovo, thanking him and NATO for supporting Kosovo in all processes and for their mission in creating and strengthening peace and security in Kosovo and beyond.
“We are eternally grateful for your commitment and role and all KFOR soldiers, who have served and continue to serve to create a safe and secure environment for Kosovo citizens”, Prime Minister Haradinaj said, ensuring that the Kosovo government is committed to co-operation with KFOR in strengthening stability and security in Kosovo and the region.
Confirming the co-operation of all Kosovo security institutions with KFOR, Prime Minister Haradinaj said Kosovo would maintain and strengthen its partnership with NATO.
“We are the people we meet with free peoples, led by the US, in the service of peace in the country, the region and the world”, Prime Minister Haradinaj has said at the meeting, adding that Kosovo is ready to join NATO in peaceful missions, in the service of peace and security in the world.
According to a government communiqué, Haradinaj has announced Admiral Foggo for the transition period of the Kosovo Security Force, saying this force will be multiethnic, professional and in the service of all citizens of the country, in which all communities living in Kosovo will be involved.
For his part, Admiral Foggo said the KFOR mission remains unchanged for a safe environment in Kosovo and for maintaining stability in Kosovo and the region.
