The founder of the “Aufstein” (“Wake up”), Sahra Wagencnecht, has said that she and her supporters will be out on the streets during 2019, motivated by protests by France's vests. She has said protests in France are evidence that changes in politics can be achieved even without establishing political parties.
Its movement was founded in September last year. As the reason for the protests, Wagenknecht cited increasing inequality and anger over the depreciation the government has made to its political movement. The leader of the movement with 170 thousand registered members has said she appreciates the leftist French party, “La France Insoumise”, and British lab leader Jeremy Corbyn. For him, these parties present the model to follow.
She has said that she does not support violence but regrets those who see the violence needed to express disappointment. I think it's wrong to identify protests in France only with violence. Of course there are those who are willing to violence there, but the movement is much more than that”, Wagenknecht said.
I'm clear we don't want violence, but at the same time you should know that this is an expression of silent anger. Nothing comes for no reason”. Marxist politician did not specify the form of protest, but said her movement would be visible on the street and in front of the public this year, writes the “The Guardian”
