Serbian opposition protesters are preparing for additional protests in Serbia against President Aleksandar Vuciq, who is accused of violating media freedom and the opposition's crackdown.
The shares of yesterday's day are the latest in the series of protests against Vuciqi. Protests have moved further last month, when several violent persons beat opposition politician Borko Stefanovic.
Last week, about 15 thousand protesters marched to Belgrade, cheering “Vucciq, hain”. For many protesters, the attack on the opposition politician could be compared to attacks on political opponents during the nine years under the leadership of the notorious former Freedomman Slobodan Milosevic.
A group of opposition parties has blamed Vuciqi's party for attacking politician Stefanovic. However, authorities have denied the involvement of this party in the attack. Last year, the European Commission had voiced concerns about media freedom in Serbia, more precisely about threats and violence against journalists, writes “Free Europe”.
