(7 years ago)Cold morning in Macedonia with temperatures up to minus 21 in Manastir, in Berovo have been measured -17, 15 in Strumica, -14 in Prilep and Demir Kapi, -12 in Lazarpole and Krusevo, -11 in Mavrov, -10 in Stip and Creva Pallanca, minus nine in Skopje Petrovec, Ohrid, Pretor and Pozharane, minus eight in Deber, minus seven. The recent 24-hour rains have taken place in Strumica, Demir Kapi, Dojran, Kumanovo and Vinica, while the highest layer of snow is in Hannet Mavrova 65cm. There are snows in Krusevo about 32 cm, 27 in Manari, 25 in Topolcan, 14 Sun Hill, 13 Demir Kapi, 12 in Strumica, 10 Berovo, Pozharane, Lazarpole and Djurite, eight in Dojran, six Prilep, three in Pretor and Kriva Pallanca, two in Stip and one centimeter in Kumanovo.
Cold weather with maximum temperature of the day below or around zero continues in the days ahead. Today and tomorrow morning, there will be weak local snowfall and the northwestern wind will blow at a time of reinforcement.
The morning temperatures in the coming period will be very low especially in the mountains, while the coldest is expected to be Tuesday morning when temperatures drop by 16 degrees below zero, while expected in most of the country to drop below -10.
Major snowfalls are expected on Wednesday.
